Days Events:

Wx - forecast is amazing - 59/78, winds S 1-7, sunny. Travel - left Clayton at 08:40, traveled a long way [10 miles] in 1.3 hr, to the Horizon Marina's Thousand Is. Club on Wellesley I., across from Alexandria Bay, NY. Little boat traffic, mostly fishing runabouts; had to contest the center of the channel [in the American Narrows] with a 685 ft cargo ship west bound and let him have it. Docked in little wind, aided by mechanic who boated from Alex.Bay as soon as we radioed we were near! It is an exhilarating feeling to be finally docked for the year.

Marina - The 1000 I. Club, part of the Horizon Marina in Alexandria Bay, is a private club with 135 slips, pool, clubhouse, tennis court, restaurant [closed due to covid]. They offer full services and we will have all the work done hrere.

Photos - sunrise with the gulls; the I-81 bridge, homes on North shore, lighthouse, entering the cove; the marina/grounds.

Admirals Desk: As this is our last stop I thought I would tally some interesting things: Shopped at +/- 60 grocery stores, ranging from buy something quick and get out, to OMG this is an amazing place, don't buy everything!! One bowl served as a mixing bowl, salad bowl, everything bowl. I've had 2 haircuts, one great the other has been previously mentioned. I have not ironed one thing! Visited only one public restroom since we left OBM, Rob none. We ate in only 2 restaurants since we left OBM. Max. water depth we saw was 502', minimum water depth was holy crap the bow is sitting on the sand and there is no water! Lost one anchor and 3 fenders. Survived Storm Isaiah! Amazon pkgs delivered: Marg 15, Rob 53!! Met many loopers and boaters. All very nice, helpful and willing to share their experiences. Stayed healthy. Not even one sniffle. Our only malady was fatigue, both mental and physical, which increased as time wore on. Feel pretty good today.😊 We are still happily married! Selective hearing and the fact we are always nice to each other helps.

Until tomorrow.

Maintenance: No problems encountered today!

Plans: Local car rental being delivered today while we stay on D.A. until Tues, Sept.8 when we pick up our Enterprise SUV [30 miles away, in Watertown] and return the local vehicle. Then, we start loading stuff and depart Sunday, 13th; will blog daily until we arrive back in Florence, likely on Sept.15. Stay safe.
