Days Events:

Wx - "great" day; 73/86, overcast until about 1pm; humidity only 97% initially; but, winds only 1-4mph;

Travel - fog greeted us at first light but burned off before planned departure [see photo]; traveled 42 miles in 4.3hr to Bohemia Bay Yacht Harbor; lots of boat traffic - confirmed why we shouldn't travel on a Saturday! Waves minimal but had to turn into the wakes frequently to avoid the 'rocknroll' miseries. Deep water until 5-10 feet the last 2 miles. Arrived at 12:30 for a pumpout by two attractive young women in short-shorts and one 'older' man [all 3 photo'd on their website], who were extremely helpful in docking, etc.

Marina - another nice spot; transients are on a long bulkhead/face fuel dock; we were at the far end and exposed to lot of traffic creating choppy water [nothing new]; adjusted the lines/boards after a couple of 'speed' boats waked us going out. The admiral approved the improvement. A small ships store with maintenance and a few food supplies.

Photos - the early fog at Osprey; this marina - the jetty is a long row of rocks with the transient dock running alongside - the photo is looking down the jetty, toward the office/beach area; the other one is of the bayside end with their 'lighthouse'.

The Admirals Desk: A good trip today. Lots of Sat. boat traffic, especially after 10am. Boat watching observations: a big shift in the types of boats with few sailboats, but many go fast cruisers, usually 30'-35', predominantly Sea Rays. A few small center consoles or sport fishers. We Also saw about a dozen cigarette boats all speeding in the same direction with a helicopter hovering. I assume it was a race. Thankfully they were across the bay. Heat index topped at 102; 8 degrees lower than the beginning of the week. Hopefully this is a trend.😁 That's all!

Maintenance:

Holding Tank Monitor - recalibrated the 2nd one to 'Full' this a.m. and after pumping out it registered 'EMPTY' !!! The 'old' one dropped to 'Empty' as I pumped out, per Marg, so will wait and see on it. Maybe the 'pee&poop' gods will smile upon us now.

Strainer for a/c - looks grungy so will clean in a.m. Also, the generator strainer looks 'ugly' and will do it then too.

Covid - no masking here, although sign on office door asks everyone to wear one.

Tomorrow - some maintenance items as noted. Stay safe.
