Day's Events/Non-mechanical:

Wx - great sunrise [see photo]. Temp in 80's but humidity 80-90% range. Sunny until mid afternoon and now clouds.

Hair color - Marg decided there was too much gray visible and now looks more like her usual, younger self.

Uber to Publix - Marg made her solo run, preferred to having me get in the way, to Publix for some good food.

Rob 'finally' had a shower - Marg wanted everyone to know how much she appreciates my efforts to reduce the workload for the Admiral. Many loopers revert to a less strict dress and wash guideline; e.g.wear the same clothes for 3 days, unless one gets pumpout material on oneself. [if you haven't seen Robin Williams in 'RV', you will enjoy it]

Washed salt spray off; and Repaired faucet 'dribble' - after diagnosing problem as the aerator; easiest solution - poke a hole in it and pull out the wire mesh parts; works great now.

Tide effects & Photos - see photos of the sharp barnacles on dock pilings; also the marina docks/boats, and the dramatic drop of the floating dock due to low tide [7ft]. Thus, the need to ensure the dockside depth is adequate for one's boat draft.

Navigation - updated the electronic maps on our Axiom chartplotter since the card will only hold so much data; micro card from back of the unit goes in an adapter on the laptop, and downloads the areas I request.

AIS Alarm reconfigured - our Automatic Identification System is alarming too often [no a risk of collision], so I edited the alarm settings to just 'see' the other boats.

Loopers next door - the couple we met in Fernandina arrived today and we will hopefully have docktails. They too have a Meridian, a 408, with a layout more like what our old Trojan had.

MECHANICAL: Nil to report. :) :)

That's all folks. Carry on distancing and stay away from big city downtowns for awhile. We will be.

Tomorrow, we go to Sunbury Harbor Crab Co. Restaurant & Marina, about 74 miles, so will leave early, as we likely won't average more than 8-9 mph. It is small, only 24 slips, and has a reputation for its restaurant, so we made a reservation already.

Ernie R  •  04 Jun, 2020:  Liked the faucet fix! Have done it myself, you are now fully certified boat mechanic! I sure miss the mechanical report!

Robert & Margaret  •  05 Jun, 2020:  It's a mixed emotion! Good there is nothing to report!!! But...just wait, something will happen. People might get bored with routine maintenance though but that is better than anything more significant! :)
