Days Events:

The Significant Event - there were NO significant events - and that is significant! per the Admiral.

Wx - great, partially sunny, hot and humid, little wind.

Travel - we left at 07:50, 64 miles, arrived in St.Johns Yacht Harbor at 14:30 for 6.8 hrs; little boat traffic, only had to pass/overtake a fishing trawler and then pass by a barge/tow. No winds, shallowest channel was 7-9 ft; the ebb tide with us through most of the morning and the flood tide in the afternoon, which gave us about 2mph extra speed. No real problem docking.

Arrival is always stressful [for everyone apparently] - especially in the wind, and if an audience; then ensuring the lines adequately tied for wind & current; connecting the power supply; hook up the water; document all the data [engine hours, tank levels, battery voltages, etc]; and of course, shutting down everything, covering the flybridge helm electronics, etc.

Photos - another departure sunrise [from Beaufort]; several along the AICW of the long docks running offshore from homes to accommodate the tides; one showing the obviously preferred perch for pelican pooping is any green buoy; one of two range markers [mostly for commercial vessels to line up their approach on an inlet or channel]. AND, a great toilet option if our vacuflush system fails - sent by Duane McCartney, a solution often used in western Saskatchewan at cottages and lakes, in the summer or winter!

Also, of the St.John's Yacht Harbor - nice spot, solid well looked after complex; staff helpful and friendly.

A looper friend recommended a restaurants, things to do, etc. - 39 Rue de Jean for dinner tomorrow evening [our anniversary].

Tourist - we are reserving a horse-drawn carriage tour for Friday morning, before it gets too hot.

MECHANICAL:

Several packages from Amazon were waiting, including an oil sampling kit pump/tubing to help determine when to change oils [it's been 200 hrs since my last change - Cummins recommends 300 hrs or annually]. Two 11x30 fenders arrived with replacement fuel filters [the latter for storage until we need them, likely in the next few weeks].

That's all folks. Keep on distancing, as we shall do, but keep in touch. Marg is cooking fish and a salad tonight.
