Wk 4 – Mon.Apr.13/Day 44 to Sun.Apr.19/Day 50:

Almost daily trips to the grocery store [Publix or Rouses] and prepared for the boat going back in the water and to OBM.

A notable event. Life is truly a circle: we start out in diapers and end up in them. When potty training, we are fascinated by what we put in the toilet. So...the older we get, we too become more concerned with what products are being flushed. Miss Margaret, after her having a sitting result, flushes the toilet as she is leaning over to carefully examine the results; and her reading glasses, hanging from her blouse, decide they want freedom and dive into the water as it and its products are entering another world. She makes a wild lunge to grab them, but, alas, too late and they join the 'other' world. She fortunately had just purchased another pair, 'just in case'!!

That wasn't the end of her day: she reached for the bag of just bought Halls behind the TV and proceeded to dump most of them behind the 500lb TV cabinet. We have a congested counter/cabinet, trying to keep our plastic utensils, ice bucket, muffins, bread, etc, semi-organized while confined to this one room. Since I have just developed a back ache today, she said graciously I won't have to pull out the cabinet to retrieve the lozenges till tomorrow.

I continued daily walks around Gulf Shores, with wx 75F. After returning to the marina, we had BYOB docktails with pizza, and confirmed our leaving May 1.
