Days Events:

Food - Marg Ubered to another Publix, this one only 3 wks old. A few masks and the usual Publix distancing was found.

Water tank filled. We alternate the two tanks, via valves in the Utility Room, which keeps the water fresh.

Swim Platform - the swim platform becomes brown from the water and diesel fumes; had read about different products other loopers have tried, and have already tried several things, and now a toilet bowl cleaner; we have an environmentally friendly, non-bleach, one for our heads [Seventh Generation], so we thought, "what the heck", and I tried a six inch patch and it was almost instantaneous; so used a wet sponge and somewhat diluted it over the right half - and you can see the difference on the right!

Photos - Marg is becoming the nocturnal prowler, looking for photo ops again [she stays up late while I need early beauty sleep because I'm up before 0530]. One of the outdoor boat storage rack here, sticking up towards the sky. The building has lots more indoors.

Internet - our new hotspot device, Finally Wifi, is ATT based and ATT has some poor reception areas along the Loop, according to loopers, and it is apparent we are in one here; our Verizon though has been fast and reliable here.

Humor - Marg's cousin, Don Hryn, sent us a series of jokes, and we particularly like this one:

People who wonder whether the glass is half empty or half full miss the point. The glass is refillable.

This Blog - we [as in 'me'] forgot to link the written post to the map for the past few days and so people couldn't see the blog to read it. Mea culpa. Hopefully, won't happen again.

MECHANICAL:

A/C pump strainer cleaned - couldn't really see the strainer, mostly due to the brown water, until I emptied it. There was a 'string' algae coating the strainer lower half, and some residual barnacles on the sight glass, but not a lot of other grunge. Added a half tablet of Bromine, used for keeping hot tub/pool water circulating hoses cleaner, according the the loopers again; it should prevent the barnacles and some grunge formation.

Unfortunately, by cleaning the strainer, the pump wouldn't prime because it lost the water in its supply/intake hose, so I had to hook up the wet-dry vac at the a/c inlet line to one of the evaporators to suck up the water into the pump system - and it worked almost immediately.

That's all folks for today. Keep on distancing, as we are, and keeping in touch.

Tomorrow, we go to the Harbor Village Marina in Hamstead, NC, 48 miles northeast. Will be going by Cape Fear enroute.

PS

We wouldn't want an otherwise pleasant day pass without some reportable event!! On the homefront, our pool decided to completely drain itself!!! We have had the pool company out a couple of times in the past 10 days to check on leaks, and they have done a couple of different repairs which seem ok for a day or two. But to completely drain in <2days!! The concern now is not having the liner collapse and discovering where all the water went. Phooey!!

Poor Dana and Chris are stuck with helping us deal with this. Fortunately, Dana has some pool experience.
